How much does a town planner cost?
Depending on the scale and complexity of the project, the cost can vary to get a Council approval with some consulting companies. We do not have expensive overhead costs to worry about which eventually gets passed onto clients. ellipsis will give you a reasonable and fair, fixed price plus GST, so you know exactly how much it will cost you.

How long will approval take?
A development application can take anywhere from 1-6 months to be assessed by Council and have a decision reached, depending on the complexity of the application. We always aim to get Councils the information they need right from the beginning to get your application off on the right track. Some Council planners are assessing 60-80 applications at once, so you don't want to have your application put back into the pile because of a lack of information or the quality of your information. With the right information, we aim to ensure your application progresses as smoothly and quickly as possible.

Can you deal directly with council?
Anyone can deal directly with Council with their development application, or you can engage a consultant, such as ellipsis, to act on your behalf.

Do I need an architect first?
It's important to have all the necessary information prior to lodging applications with Council to avoid any potential delays. ellipsis can arrange this on your behalf.
